let the rain fall in this spring of love

Harusame is a fan-listing collective of yours truly, Shinju. A fan listing is essentially a small website which lists members of a certain subject. Fan-listings are either approved by the TheFanlistings.Org and or its sister site, the AnimeFanlistings.Org. And so, Harusame showcases both the fanlistings I own as well as those I have joined.

Harusame was previously known as sweet fragrance and was kindly hosted at the now deceased snowdust.net. It was moved under the Resonant Interlude Network on November 26, 2006 upon acquiring the domain, winter-scent.net.

Harusame (春雨) is Japanese for spring rain. There really isn't anything special behind the name. I love the rain and I loved the sound of spring rain sounded in Japanese. (WOW) Yes, so much for name picking. (laughs) I actually love to associate my sites with nature as much as possible. And since spring symbolizes "happiness" and frolicking as well as rain for a "beginning," I say why not? (okay, my words might be incoherent at this point; if so, just ignore me XD)

fourth vision ✩

You are currently viewing the fourth installment of Harusame titled Dream which features a lovely Taiwanese Art by William from the art-book, VillaVilla: When Flowers Fall In Love. Image was found at the Aethereality Gallery, cloud textures found at Free Picture Photos, heart pendant from Escape, textures from Feel, icons from Icon Archive, and some more.

I'd really love to rant about the current theme. Unfortunately, I've made this design quite some time ago (the .psd file was made on June 22, 2008) and so I forgot the spark that compelled me to design. However, I really love the blending I made with the header. I managed to incorporate clouds and a heart pendant at her wings. The girl in the design also sports a "tattoo" which was made possible with the use of textures. :3 Oh, and this is my first time using image hovers (with the help of dream weaver of course) - YAY!

Layout was designed using Adobe Photoshop CS3 and coded using TextMate. Additional resources can be found here. This layout was optimized for 800 x 600 resolution.
